The Agency for Research, Development and Training of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS), which has hosted Regional office in Indonesia since 2010, are organising the bi-annual International Symposium on Religious Life on the 6-9 November 2018 at the Hotel Novotel on Jalan Sudirman in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The focus of this symposium is ‘Religion in a divided, multicultural world: Moderation, fragmentation and radicalization'. It will feature a wide range of national and international speakers such as the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, the main keynote speaker. Executive Director, Obiora Ike, was invited to participate in the conference as the speaker in several sessions. Also Indonesia Regional Programme Director and ICRS-Yogyakarta, Siti Syamsiyatun, and Dicky Sofjan, member of the ICSR and one of authors will be actively present as speakers and moderators during the symposium.
