Mary Agro Farms Takes Root in Enugu Diocese: A New Chapter in Agricultural Empowerment Unveiled

In a significant step towards sustainable agricultural development, the Catholic Diocese of Enugu inaugurated the Mary Agro Farms in Omughu, Umana, Ezeagu LGA, Enugu State. The auspicious commissioning ceremony took place on January 9th, 2024, and was presided over by the esteemed Auxiliary Bishop, Most Rev. Ernest Obodo.

Empowering Futures Through Agriculture:
Mary Agro Farms is strategically designed to provide hope for the future by empowering the younger generation in the realm of modern agriculture. The project focuses on offering self-reliance to numerous young individuals and families, fostering a sense of purpose and contribution to their communities. With a special emphasis on combating unemployment-driven issues such as illegal migration, the Catholic Diocese of Enugu is committed to creating opportunities for self-employment.

Three-Phase Approach:
The ambitious agricultural venture will unfold in three distinctive phases, each contributing to the overarching goal of self-sufficiency and community development. Dignitaries Present at Commissioning:
The commissioning ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Most Rev. Obiora Ike, alongside other priests from the diocese, was also present to celebrate the realization of this noble agricultural endeavor.
