The Governor-elect of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, inaugurated a 64-man committee to ensure a smooth transition ahead of his swearing-in on May 29. The transition committee will help articulate and fine-tune Mr Mbah's administration's "implementable and impactful development plans."
Inaugurating the committee on Thursday in Enugu, the governor-elect said his blueprint for transforming the State was achievable. One of the members of the committee is Prof. Msgr. Obiora Ike has a wealth of experience working with the Enugu State Government over the past years.
Prof. Msgr. Obiora Ike is a seasoned administrator with vast experience in management, policy formation, human development, etc. He has served in various leadership positions in the Catholic Diocese of Enugu. As a transition committee member, Prof. Ike is committed to contributing his expertise to actualising the governor-elect's vision for the State.
Prof. Ike is optimistic that the committee's work will help achieve the governor-elect's ambitious goals for Enugu State. He highlighted the importance of a coordinated effort by all stakeholders to realise the State's development plan. He also emphasised the need for a partnership between the government and the private sector to attract investment and promote economic growth.
Prof. Ike is committed to ensuring the development of the State through the provision of job opportunities for youths and the promotion of digital skills. He is also dedicated to promoting policies that will reduce poverty levels in the State.
Governor-elect Peter Mbah appointed Prof. Ike as a member of the transition committee because his wealth of experience in governance and management would be instrumental in the success of the committee's work. He urged all members to work together to achieve the State's development goals.
The transition committee has one month to map out strategies to help the governor-elect deliver on his campaign promises.
