UP-MFB Opens New Branch at ESUT, Expanding Financial Services on Campus

The Umuchinemere Procredit Micro Finance Bank Nigeria Limited (UP-MFB) has expanded its services with the official opening of a new branch at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). This milestone marks the bank's continued growth in providing essential financial services to academic institutions and the broader community.

To commemorate the occasion, a delegation from UP-MFB, led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of ESUT, Prof. Aloysius Michael Okolie. Accompanying Msgr. Ike were Mr. Charles Udeani, Managing Director of UP-MFB, and Mr. Odinaka Okeke, Head of Operations. During their visit, they engaged in productive discussions, focusing on the bank’s role in promoting financial inclusion within the university.

Msgr. Ike expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the importance of the new branch in improving financial accessibility for students and staff. He noted, "This branch will provide vital financial services to the ESUT community, ensuring that both students and employees have convenient access to banking services, loans, and savings opportunities. It is a critical step towards financial empowerment."

Prof. Aloysius Okolie warmly welcomed the UP-MFB team and praised the establishment of the new branch. He emphasized that it would support the financial growth and stability of both students and staff, adding that the bank’s services would play a key role in fostering financial inclusion on campus.

The new branch will offer a wide range of financial services, including personal and business loans, savings accounts, and other essential banking services. These offerings are tailored to meet the specific needs of the university’s students, faculty, and staff.

The opening of the new UP-MFB branch is part of the bank's broader mission to expand across educational institutions in Nigeria. With a focus on financial literacy and practical banking solutions, the bank aims to make a lasting impact on the financial well-being of ESUT's academic community.

This expansion reflects UP-MFB’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion and empowerment, ensuring that underserved populations, particularly in educational institutions, have access to critical financial resources. The new branch is set to contribute to the university’s broader goals of financial growth and stability for its community.
