Rebranding of Aru Ike Ndi Oria Primary Healthcare Hospital, Akegbe-Ugwu

23rd August 2023

Aru Ike Ndi Oria Primary Healthcare Centre is one of the hospitals/projects of CIDJAP, established by the Rev. Monsignor Professor Obiora Ike. The establishment of the hospital was prompted by Monsignor Obiora Ike’s passion for alleviating the sufferings of indigent people within the rural communities who lack the financial requirements to care for themselves, especially their health conditions.

Over the years, the poor administrative management of the place has left the hospital in bad shape. Though Monsignor does not feel good about this poor management of the hospital, his passion to alleviate and ameliorate the condition of the downtrodden wouldn’t allow him to abandon the hospital. It was as a result of this that Monsignor paid a whooping sum of two million naira (₦2,000,000) into the hospital’s account to support the administrators of the hospital in getting it back on track. He then charged the deputy director of CIDJAP, Rev. Fr. Chidiebere Paul Ani, to look into the administration and management of the hospital to see that the donated amount is maximally put into use.

Sequel to this, an action plan was drawn by the deputy director, Fr. Chidiebere, which led to the employment of a medical doctor, purchase of high-quality drugs, and total renovation of the hospital fence and buildings. With all these put in place, life came back to the hospital again, thanks for the timely intervention of Rev. Monsignor Obiora Ike.
