Enugu Science Commissioner Visits CIDJAP, VTTC for Collaboration Talks

On 29th June 2026, the Enugu State Commissioner for Science, Innovation and Technology, Dr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, paid an official visit to the Catholic Institute for Development, Justice and Peace (CIDJAP) and its Vocational and Technical Training Centre (VTTC), Coal Camp, Enugu, to explore areas of partnership and institutional collaboration.

During the visit, the Commissioner was warmly received by the management of CIDJAP and taken on a guided tour of the VTTC facilities. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of training equipment and learning environment available in key technical areas such as electrical installation, welding and fabrication, automobile engineering, computer studies, and mechanical craft training.

Dr. Ezeh commended CIDJAP and the Church for their consistent commitment to youth empowerment through practical skill acquisition. He noted that such initiatives are vital in addressing unemployment, reducing social vices, and equipping young people with employable skills for national development.

He further pledged the support of the Ministry in strengthening VTTC to expand its capacity to train more youths who can contribute meaningfully to society by solving real-life challenges and creating alternative job opportunities.

The visit ended on a positive note with both parties expressing readiness to deepen collaboration for sustainable youth development and innovation in Enugu State.
