Monsignor Obiora Ike Blesses Toyota Sienna Donated to Holy Child Motherless Babies Home by CIDJAP

On Saturday, 28th September 2024, Monsignor Prof. Obiora Ike, Executive Director of the Catholic Institute for Development, Justice and Peace (CIDJAP), led a blessing ceremony for a brand-new Toyota Sienna donated to the Holy Child Motherless Babies Home in Enugu. The donation, facilitated by CIDJAP, marks a significant contribution towards the orphanage's efforts to improve its services, especially in providing transportation for the children under its care.

The event, held at the Holy Child Motherless Babies Home, was attended by the deputy director of CIDJAP, Rev. Fr. Chidiebere Paul Ani, staff members, well-wishers, and other key representatives from CIDJAP. Monsignor Ike, a prominent figure in the promotion of social justice and development, blessed the vehicle, acknowledging its role in enhancing the mobility and safety of the children. The Toyota Sienna will be used for medical appointments, school runs, and other essential activities that support the holistic development of the children.

In his address, Monsignor Ike emphasized the importance of community support for vulnerable and orphaned children, noting that donations like this are crucial for the continued success of the home’s mission. He expressed deep gratitude to the benefactors and CIDJAP for their unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged.

The ceremony was filled with joy and gratitude as the children, staff, and guests celebrated the addition of the vehicle, which will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the orphanage's daily operations. This donation reaffirms CIDJAP's ongoing mission to support society's most vulnerable through practical and sustainable initiatives.

The day concluded with prayers and a short reception, during which attendees reflected on the impact of the contribution and the broader mission of both CIDJAP and the Holy Child Motherless Babies Home. The vehicle will greatly enhance the home’s ability to provide care and ensure the well-being of the children it serves.

This latest gesture by CIDJAP is another testament to the organization's commitment to fostering a more compassionate and supportive community for those in need.
