CIDJAP Opens 2025 with a Two-Day Activity

The Catholic Institute for Development, Justice, and Peace (CIDJAP) marked the opening of the year 2025 with a two-day program designed to inspire hope, outline objectives, and renew commitment to its core values.

The first day featured the annual management meeting held in Bishop Eneja Office. The meeting was chaired by the Founding Director, Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike, who set the tone for the year in his opening remarks. He proclaimed 2025 as the “Year of Hope,” urging all present to remain dedicated to CIDJAP’s mission. The session focused on the 2025 budget and projections, outlining strategies to achieve the organization’s goals for the year.

The second day began with a Mass celebrated by Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike, during which he offered prayers for CIDJAP’s funders, volunteers, beneficiaries, friends, and well-wishers. Following the Mass, the staff gathered at Bishop Okoye’s Hall for a retreat featuring thought-provoking talks. Sr. Annette C. Sullivan spoke on the importance of inclusivity and upholding CIDJAP’s core values. Fr. Chidiebere Ani delivered an engaging session on the significance of values in everyday life, while Fr. Peter emphasized the need for personal capacity building.

The retreat concluded with refreshments and closing formalities, leaving attendees motivated and equipped to embrace the year’s challenges with optimism and determination.
