Report on CIDJAP Management Monthly Review Meeting

Introduction
The Catholic Institute for Development Justice and Peace (CIDJAP) held its April Management Monthly Review Meeting on Tuesday, 15th April, 2025 at the Bishop Michael Eneja Hall. The meeting was chaired by the Founding Director, Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike.

Opening Formalities
The meeting commenced with an opening prayer led by Rev. Fr. Chidiebere Paul Ani, calling on the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike warmly welcomed all management and staff members present. In his inspiring opening remarks, he encouraged everyone to remain committed to excellence in service delivery, integrity in action and growth in purpose.

Unit Reports
Heads of various units at CIDJAP presented their reports, outlining progress, challenges, and current activities. Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike responded with thoughtful feedback, commendations, and shared ideas for future development and collaboration across units. His input reflected his depth of experience, attention to detail and forward-thinking leadership.

Engagement with the External Auditor
In a significant development, Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike introduced Mr. Victor Iyiama, a Chartered Accountant and external auditor working for CIDJAP. Mr. Iyiama addressed the management team, providing clarity on the ongoing audit process. He offered insightful recommendations and emphasized the importance of transparency and accuracy in financial reporting. He also encouraged CIDJAP's financial staff to reach out to him directly if they encountered any difficulties with the audit template he had previously shared via email.

Next Meeting Date
The next CIDJAP Monthly Review Meeting is scheduled to hold on Monday, 5th May, 2025.

Closing Formalities
In his closing remarks, Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike left the staff with words of wisdom and encouragement. He urged everyone to remain humble and always be open to learning. In his words: "When you stop using your brain, it will stop functioning. Knowledge is a virtue." These words resonated deeply with all present, reinforcing the culture of intellectual and moral growth at CIDJAP. The meeting ended with a closing prayer led by Sr. Martin Agnes, after which Msgr. Prof. Obiora Ike gave the final blessing, bringing the gathering to a peaceful and reflective close.
